Doug Tuttle | Rough Trade, NYC | Aug 28, 2017

A couple weeks back, I went to check out Doug Tuttle at Rough Trade in Williamsburg. Tuttle's Peace Potato has been a favorite from this year so I was pretty stoked to see him play. 

As an added bonus for what was billed as a longer than usual set, the SF-based ensemble Mad Alchemy provided a liquid light show that gave the show a real tripped out visual experience. I kept finding myself looking up to the balcony of Rough Trade to see how they were making these liquid light mashups. 

Tuttle sounded just as good as he does on record and played a set filled with jammed out versions of songs from the new record as well as his previous records, It Calls On Me and his self-titled LP.
